CNN-IBN:Something good finally
Published by Abhishek September 15th, 2006 in News Channels in India, UncategorizedLet’s give them credit where it is due. It is very heartening to see that CNN-IBN is taking the issue of security very seriously and they have an “expert talk” from a former RAW officer on their website.
The security in India is in dire straits. A full fledged discussion on this grave issue is out of scope here. Suffice to say that it is a step in the right direction to highlight the state of affairs from chosen experts in their field and hopefully spur on debate on the existing policies of the Government of the day.
Kudos to IBN team for having done something good. I hope (and sincerely hope) that they don’t botch it up by assigning some moron to cover this beat.
I’m not sure. They have been focusing on terrorism too much these days. Almost seems like how Fox news covered post 9/11.
Fox is more jongoistic, as any American media would be. The content of the story hits the Bulls’ eye and it makes a lot of sense. Hence I wanted to appreciate the efforts involved.
