I am watching the India – South Africa match on ESPN right now and they just showed the Zee’s Dish TV advertisement.

It is pretty weird considering ESPN is a partner of Star Sports and Zee and Star are competitors. Star has their own DTH Service named Tata Sky.

Is this a mistake or ESPN does not really care about Star’s competitors when it comes to ad revenues?

if they’re getting money from it, what the hell? should ads, like content be affected by ownership too?

star sports and espn are partners but at the end of the day evey channel has to dish out enough ads to sustain themselevs…. i don’t think so that the star can control the advertisement on espn in any possible way…

either that or zee guys must have paid a hell lot of money.. but then the same target audience can be tapped from other channels so i don’t think so that they will act that desperate to get that extra reach.. i think the first explianation is the more justifiable…

what ever the case is.. .. i didn’t liked both the ads(dishnet and tata sky)… concept sucks big time!!!!!
