The examples are high TRP of various hindi news channels.we have acquired the cheap taste of almost an e-version of Manohar Kaahaniyas .
The primetime stories of these channels can be of ‘daughter beating her aiyash father ‘ or ‘ nagin taking revenge’ or ‘inter religion couple eloping and taking shelter in their studio’.
Where r our sensibility heading ?????
The major chunk of viewers consisting of middle class is educated and salaried ,what r they getting in the morning to update their GK and IQ ?? What is happening in around the world if u want to know ,then tune to English channels.
How I yearn for good ol DD news , which I use to write , so as to say headlines on next day assembly of the school.

here is some information i heard…
aaj tak remains the only profitable news channel in india.
the company knows what they are doing.
they realize that they have to do what they are doing to remain profitable in india.
they do conduct experiments to see if real news matters to people… and one of the cases was that rival channel gained in TRPs covering crap news while they were highlighting something important.
basically… it’s how the market behaves and they are just reacting to our judgment…
