I am not a big fan of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He is everywhere. Selling everything. He is essentially the new Shah Rukh Khan. Anyways, this advertisement is just frustrating. Not because it is bad. But because it is everywhere. It’s running on almost every channel during every show. I go to the Subway to eat a sub, and it is running on the LiveMedia display. And the tune of Aircel is just not pleasant.

I should not be discussing the possible factual mistakes in this advertisement…

They included a reference to Harbhajan Singh. I am not sure if he would become a part of this campaign in the near future. He has a logical reason to sue Aircel if he is not paid for the reference in the advertisement.

I have a question. If a match is canceled… are the players allowed to make their own plans without taking permission from the BCCI representatives! :D

Cricket players are treated like gods in India. Dhoni for example is perhaps one of the most recognized faces. Any hotel is unlikely to deny them bookings on an emergency basis. ;)

Also, there is a sense of arrogance in the overall presentation of the ad.

Just my thoughts. :)
