I don’t know if anyone else feels the same, but the media has been looking to dumb the audience. It’s argued that there IS a huge section of the public that enjoys the K serials, the day after day mind numbing intellect freezing, and growth stunting bullshit that we’re dished out in the name of national television. I refuse to believe that even the dumbest of the dumb can sit through hour after grueling hour and watch all that pathetic bullcrap for emotional stimulation.
The reality shows are the worst. Their obvious attempts to raise TRP’s with the crass appeals that are supposed to trigger a nation’s emotions are at best juvenile and sadistic. Idiotic shows like the Great Indian Laughter Challenge are a gross violation of intellect. Sure I understand you can’t have intelligent humor all the time-that’s fine-give us an Andaaz Apna Apna or a Bade Miyaan Chote Miyan anytime! But spare us the ‘Just Pooja’s and the Koffee with Karan’s please!
Dear only U and me love peanuts. Every one else goes for K serials. If i know 100 Households 80 will watch K Serial. OK I will rectify my statement. Of 100 Ladies I know 80 watch K serials. These ladies are in the age group0f 8-80. There was a time I thot girls have just one name “Simran”. Believe me Kasak and Kavya are common names now. So is Khushi. Out of these 80 Ladies 50 are atleast graduate. Remaining 30 are grandmas or 50+ agegroup ladies. And the ladies rule the house. This is the sole reason I reach home by 9:30 PM and then after dinner am again infront of PC. Regarding Indian Laughter Challenge, U must appreciate one thing, Sidhu laughs much more than anyone.
I cannot really appreciate the fact that Sidhu laughs more than anyone coz he laughs over anything and everything.and he does some nasty things on the show which do not justify his position as an MP of India.
