CNN-IBN: Getting into prominence?
Published by Abhishek April 8th, 2006 in UncategorizedGoogle is the best barometer to know about how the website is faring. It isn’t the best search engine, but my curiousty peaked up to know about it nonetheless.
While Google gives their home page prominence, Teoma (and now Ask.com) doesn’t bother to list it in the first 10 results. I rely mostly on Ask for the accuracy of their results though.
Interestingly, two blogs mention about CNN-IBN website. One is the War For News and other is Sushubh’s blog entry where he mentions about the bloopers on their website. The next was a asinine encounter with their webfolks about stealing Techwhack contributor! There was a lot of bad blood that flowed because the dudes relied on someone’s personal opinion as the Gazette of India notification; a word of law etched in stone!
Again, Gigablast doesn’t link directly to IBN website (no one seems to like it except Google!) The top 10 results on Gigablast find no mention of the IBN home page
Wikipedia entry has just a line mentioned about Ibn. I was indeed surprised to see the entry for Sardesai though. World famous?
Clearly, these dudes have a long way to go.
anyone recognised can start a page on wikipedia. though it requires editing by a couple of people in the early stages to keep it on. i cant get a page on wikipedia coz i am no one… technically speaking. :)
